Fur Trader 2 is released early!

2018 is off to a good start! Not only did Dominion: Edge of the Storm get an early release, but Fur Trader 2 is out today! That's right, no more waiting until April -- it's available right now on Kindle. So if you pre-ordered it, then enjoy, and if you are waiting for the paperback, that should be ready between Wednesday and Friday (there's always a bit of a lag on my paperbacks --- but it's coming early too, so it's still great news.)

Garrin has more than a few tricks left up his sleeve and if you have been waiting to see how the veteran mountain man handles the rest of the dubious wizards and mercenaries sent to track him down, you won't be disappointed.

Garrin thought he had hired on to simply guide a pair of travelers through Dryden Pass. He soon learned the truth of their identities after overcoming ancient automotons, mage-assassins, and epic wizard battles, but the real danger lies ahead of him.

The harshest storms are rolling in, some augmented and exacerbated by magic. And that's not all. Soldiers and thugs pursue them at every turn, while frost trolls and deadly creatures from the mountain emerge, eager to make a meal of them.

Garrin will have to use every trick at his disposal to ensure they make it through the pass alive.

And if you haven't checked out Fur Trader 1 yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up. It's a fun blend of a mountain-man adventure wrapped up in a fantasy burrito with plenty of folklore spice and a little twist of lemon ;)

Garrin completed his mandatory military service several years ago, and he hated every minute of it. Now, he spends his days as a trapper. He knows the northern mountains of Dryden Range better than any other fur trader in the business. More than that, he is one of only two such people to have ever worked in Geberron Pass, the most deadly parts of Dryden Range.

When he is approached by a middle-aged man and his teenage nephew, Garrin knows there is more to the pair than they are telling him. They seek passage to Brywood, a city to the north of Dryden Range and across the Seron River, which marks the northernmost border of Garrin’s homeland. Most folk would travel west along the southern coastline and then turn northward, skirting around the mountains. These two, however, are offering a small fortune to go directly through the mountains with Garrin as their guide. The uncle pitches the idea as if he was nothing more than an adventure-hungry lesser-noble with too much gold and time on his hands for his own good.

Garrin knows that even those seeking adventure would never think to attempt Geberron Pass in the winter, unless they were hiding something. Still, the stranger makes Garrin an offer too good to pass up.

However, as the trio pushes forward through Dryden Range, Garrin soon learns that the uncle’s secret is far more serious than he ever could have imagined, and he finds himself in peril the likes of which he has never experienced before. Garrin quickly realizes he will need to dig deep and employ his full range of skills to ensure the safety of the group, and particularly protect the life of the youth who has clearly been plunged in over his teenage head.
